The overlay isn't more bandwidth — it's a purpose-built, segmented operations network that sits behind your venue circuit and keeps the systems that make or break the event isolated, wired, monitored, and accountable to one operator.

The Critical Operations Overlay supplements the venue circuit where permitted — it never bypasses venue exclusivity. We secure written venue authorization before any non-refundable spend, and we never run unauthorized cabling or networks.

Segmentation zones

Traffic is isolated by purpose so a problem in one zone can't take down another, and so payment and production stay protected from everything else on the floor.

Payments

Payment traffic isolated on its own segment, wired-first, with a defined boundary. We provide the segmented connectivity — we don’t run your payment systems, and cardholder data never touches us.

Production

Production and streaming — encoders and broadcast paths on a protected segment engineered for low latency and stability under load.

Registration

Check-in, badging, and registration kept on their own segment so a surge at the entrance never contends with production or payments.

Attendee

Optional attendee connectivity, when in scope, is firewalled away from every operations zone — an add-on layer, never the lead.

Contractor

Third-party vendors and contractors get controlled, isolated access that can't reach payment, production, or management traffic.

Management

Network management and monitoring on a dedicated segment, separated from all production and revenue traffic.

How the overlay gets deployed

Authorize

Following the Risk Assessment, we secure written venue authorization for the supplemental overlay before committing any non-refundable spend.

Build

We deploy the segmented LAN and wired-first drops, stand up redundant connectivity, and bring monitoring online.

Test

Pre-opening acceptance and failover testing verify segmentation, redundancy, and recovery windows before go-live.

Operate & report

Onsite and NOC teams run the network through teardown, then deliver a post-event report covering performance, incidents, and recommendations.

Where our accountability starts — and stops

We stand behind the network and transport layer LGL operates: segmentation, connectivity resilience, and documented failover. We run the network, not the applications that ride on it: we provide segmented connectivity for the systems you run — payments, registration, production, streaming — but we don’t run those systems, and your cardholder or attendee data never touches or is stored by us. We define a data-responsibility and segmentation boundary on every engagement, and we carry cyber and E&O insurance before deployment.
